keep the brooks family in your prayers!

i was called today from zach's dad's phone and a random woman was like "are you amy?" and i said yes and she said "rick was in a car accident and we cannot get in touch with his son zach... and you were the first person in his phone book that picked up the phone. can u come to the uab hospital ER and get in touch with zach and bring some people to check on rick brooks?" i said of corse and then called zach. i told him the bad news and as INCREADIBLY brave as he is he took it so well. so i called chris for the directions to the hospital and then picked chris up and we drove to the hospital to wait with zach until we could see his dad. well the doctor came in adn said they did a cat scan on his head, neck, and torso and it didn't look bad, he had a veeery minor fracture in the temple of his head tho. and he has passed out and had a concussion and had a laceration (a huge gash wound) in the side of his scalp which they'd have to sew up but that we could come see him in a couple minutes after they got him cleaned up.... so we waited for like 3 hrs and they forgot about us so i asked and then they said he was already in his room so they took us to him. we were all expecting him to be sitting up in his bed and smiling and being his awesome self but when we walked in he was lying down with a billion tubes in him and a neck brace on with blood ALL OVER HIS PILLOW. zach walked to his bed side and mr brooks immediately apologized about the jeep (the car he had the wreck in) and zach was like no dad its okay. its okay don't worrie about it. and we were there from 1 pm til 6:30 and then zach's mom had come down from huntsville (where she lives) and took us to eat (b/c none of us had eaten all day) and we went back at like 7:30 and stayed til 9 when visiting hrs were up. his dad held my hand and was like "thankyou for getting in touch with zach and being available" and when me and his mom were alone she said the same thing.... i was increadibly flattered!. you know its amazing how God can keep his hand around somebody and keep them safe! the doctor said that he is suprised that he wasn't permanently hurt. we are so blessed!

by now im guessing you are wondering how the car accident happened... well... zach's dad and zach have been fixing up this like 77 or 70 jeep (i can't remember the year) and it was a really light weight jeep and it had 470 horse power and TONZ of foot lbs of torque and his dad was moving tile for some ppl. well he had just recently bought a new trailer to pull stuff on and he was on I-20 going about 50 and he was loosing control of the jeep b/c the trailer weighed ALOT more than the jeep so he couldn't keep control. well he regained control and then all he rememberes next was a car passing him and then every memorie he has is gone of the rest of the accident. the next thing he remembers is being in the ambulance. so we think that the trailer probably got away from him and started fish tailing and rolled the jeep. OH YEA and 1 more thing. he rolled the jeep ALOT! and he had 2 spanish worker passengers with him. one went home from uab a little while after being there and the other had a broken arm. mr brooks had the worst tho. neways so he has a maaassive headache and they r keeping him over night just to make sure no fluid leaks out of his head b/c if that happens then he will have an imbalance of fluid on the brain and it can seriously do some damage. so please please everybody!! prrray for mr brooks and zachary and their whole family! they realy need your prayers right now! there is a chance of having to get surgery if his head starts leaking water! please pray that he will be okay! and pray that i can stay strong for zach! he reallt needs it! thank you! just thought id keep those who wanna know informed! cyall and thanks again.
